Tips On How to Pick Out The Right Sunglasses

Did you know that when you wear a great pair of sunglasses the world looks so much more fashionable?  But with all the different types of sunglasses in the market place, how do you pick out the right sunglasses?

Today sunglasses have become everyone’s best friend.  Most people never leave home without their favorite pair of sunglasses.  We carry them everywhere with us.  If you are a true sunglass aficionado you always make sure to pass by the sunglass counter when you go to your favorite store or stop by the mall.  Sunglasses are no longer just for protecting our eyes from the sun’s harmful rays, they have become the ultimate fashion accessory.  So how do you make sure the sunglasses you have are the perfect ones for your face shape.

Here is a quick reference guide to make sure you know how pick the right pair of sunglasses:

Square Face

If your face is square, slight curved frames look best.  Try aviator sunglasses or wrap style sunglasses to look your best

Round Face

If you face is round try angular or straight frames in dark colors to flatter the features of your face.  Square sunglasses with color lenses really compliment a round face shape.

Triangular Face Shape

Triangular face shapes look best in sunglasses with thin rims and vertical lines.  Try a pair of oval frame sunglasses to really compliment your oval face shape.

Oblong Face

This face shape is very similar to the square face shape.  This face shape looks best with a frame that covers the center portion of the face.  If your face shape is oblong try to avoid large frames, heavy bridges or square shaped frames. 

Oval Face

If your face shape is oval, most sunglass styles are very flattering for your face shape.  Just remember to pick frames in proportion to the size of your face.

Besides picking sunglasses that compliment your face shape, you should also look for sunglasses that are proportional to the size of your nose.  Oversized sunglasses help balance out a large nose, while short noses look best in sunglasses with a high bridge.  Long noses look best in sunglasses with a double bridge and high sidebars because they draw attention toward the temples. 

When looking for the right pair of sunglasses, remember to go with frames that are opposite your face shape.  Remember balance is the key when deciding on the right pair of sunglasses for your face shape.
